Blogtober '23 - Day 22.

    We've had brilliant sunshine here for much of the day and no, I didn't get out into it. Thought about it, but didn't do it. My loss I s'pose.

    I have had a much better day than yesterday though - no feeling of unwellness and I don't believe I felt all that stressed today either. Go me!

    We have our Sunday dinner at lunchtime and this week was a special day as we had our first Stew and Dumplings of the season! Yummers! You cannot beat a good stew in the Autumn and Winter, and being all homemade it's also good for you. And Dumplings are one of your 5-a-day after all. And I had 4 of them! Go me again!

    We've been getting a Grey Squirrel visiting the garden over the last couple of months. At first it seemed only interested in the Curly Hazel tree and all the nuts thereon - she took most of them and has buried a lot around the back garden ready for her to find again in the winter. Now, she's continuously on the peanut feeders, clinging to a branch with her hind feet and feeding upside down. I'm not that athletic, but I do like a good feed!


    She's ever so pretty in the sunshine,


    But I'm not sure the Tits are too pleased with her!

    You would think that with it being a Sunday, I would have had plenty of opportunities to post my intended Blogtober post. But no. I haven't even touched a computer today until now because there always seemed to be something else to do! And I don't suppose any of it was particularly important. Ever have days like that?     So instead of that post I'm going to do a Sunday Waffle. A quick ramble about the day and anything else that pops into the noggin as I type. Minus the swear words. Probably.       It was pretty grim when I got up, it looked like it had rained🌧️ all night, but the sun soon came out☀️ and it was bright till about early afternoon when the clouds started gathering. Somewhere across the road someone had lit a garden fire, smoke blowing up the road so at least this time we didn't get the stink of it.🔥     We did have a fab dinner at lunch time! Blogtober - Post 19! ❓ 🪝 📖 🌵

     Hello! I'd like to start by asking a few questions to those of you who have been using silicon-handled hooks longer than I have.     In the last few days I have notice that the hook I'm using most has developed a weird ickieness to the handle. It's not sticky or rough, just not right. My others don't feel like this. I even washed it the other day and if anything it made it slightly worse.      Could this be a reaction to the hand-cream I use in the evening to lessen the roughness of my fingers? Is there a way of fixing the issue, and is there a best way of storing and caring for this style of hook? Comments and solutions would be most appreciated.😀     I finished reading "The Tears Of The Salamander" Monday night, and tonight I will start reading something else. I'm just not sure what yet, it may end up a point and grab situation. Whatever it is I probably won't have read it before and I'll let you know what I choose.      Yesterday I mentio

Blogtober '23 - Day One. 👋😀

       Blogtober is upon us And I really have to say, I'm not sure I can manage A new post everyday. Typing here and typing there It can be quite a chore, Finding summat interesting And trying not to bore. What with edit this and copy that And insert image here, It's like reading a crochet pattern Whose instructions aren't quite clear.
