    Just a quickie!

    The other week I noticed a programme listed in the telly paper for BBC1 about the YarnBombers of Swansea, so naturally I recorded it, and I've just got round to watching it. Well, there's no Pointless at the moment because of Wimbledon. And I have to say that I really enjoyed it! The group seem like a great bunch of people and the work that they put into their YarnBombs is incredible, especially what they were asked to do for the Coronation of King CharlesⅢ.

    The only other show I can think of that features any sort of yarn crafting is Kirstie Allsops Hand Made Christmas, and I must admit I don't watch many of those. Do you know of any other?

    You would think that with it being a Sunday, I would have had plenty of opportunities to post my intended Blogtober post. But no. I haven't even touched a computer today until now because there always seemed to be something else to do! And I don't suppose any of it was particularly important. Ever have days like that?     So instead of that post I'm going to do a Sunday Waffle. A quick ramble about the day and anything else that pops into the noggin as I type. Minus the swear words. Probably.       It was pretty grim when I got up, it looked like it had rained🌧️ all night, but the sun soon came out☀️ and it was bright till about early afternoon when the clouds started gathering. Somewhere across the road someone had lit a garden fire, smoke blowing up the road so at least this time we didn't get the stink of it.🔥     We did have a fab dinner at lunch time! Blogtober - Post 19! ❓ 🪝 📖 🌵

     Hello! I'd like to start by asking a few questions to those of you who have been using silicon-handled hooks longer than I have.     In the last few days I have notice that the hook I'm using most has developed a weird ickieness to the handle. It's not sticky or rough, just not right. My others don't feel like this. I even washed it the other day and if anything it made it slightly worse.      Could this be a reaction to the hand-cream I use in the evening to lessen the roughness of my fingers? Is there a way of fixing the issue, and is there a best way of storing and caring for this style of hook? Comments and solutions would be most appreciated.😀     I finished reading "The Tears Of The Salamander" Monday night, and tonight I will start reading something else. I'm just not sure what yet, it may end up a point and grab situation. Whatever it is I probably won't have read it before and I'll let you know what I choose.      Yesterday I mentio

Blogtober '23 - Day One. 👋😀

       Blogtober is upon us And I really have to say, I'm not sure I can manage A new post everyday. Typing here and typing there It can be quite a chore, Finding summat interesting And trying not to bore. What with edit this and copy that And insert image here, It's like reading a crochet pattern Whose instructions aren't quite clear. But I think I'll try And keep you up to date, With all my crochet projects That are always running late!  So stick around, come back do, It might be worth a look, To see what this Numpty Is making with his hook!
