Blogtober - Post 27! 😩 🦇 🌳

    Well, I don't know what was going on last night when I was trying to do yesterday's post, but it was bloody annoying!😩 I had to keep deleting pictures and re-inserting them, the font kept going back to the default setting and the Undo button didn't seem to work! Got it done eventually though!

    In all the stress I forgot to mention AutumnWatch. I did watch it and there were some interesting bits, as there was yesterday, but I do find the presenters annoying. Their antics can sometimes verge on the silly and that's not what I expect from a programme about nature.

    Oh. Sad news.😢 This evening, we finished the Spiced Apple and Raisin Loaf Cake. I know. I am consoling myself with the fact that it went to a better place, and that there is a Ginger Cake waiting in the wings.🥹

    Also this evening we watched the greatest vampire 🦇 film ever made: Dracula - Dead And Loving It!, starring Leslie Nielson. It is a complete hoot and one of my favourite films, and if you haven't seen it - Do so!!

    I got some good work done on my Snowman and Yuletide squares and hopefully I'll have something to show you soon.

    You would think that with it being a Sunday, I would have had plenty of opportunities to post my intended Blogtober post. But no. I haven't even touched a computer today until now because there always seemed to be something else to do! And I don't suppose any of it was particularly important. Ever have days like that?     So instead of that post I'm going to do a Sunday Waffle. A quick ramble about the day and anything else that pops into the noggin as I type. Minus the swear words. Probably.       It was pretty grim when I got up, it looked like it had rained🌧️ all night, but the sun soon came out☀️ and it was bright till about early afternoon when the clouds started gathering. Somewhere across the road someone had lit a garden fire, smoke blowing up the road so at least this time we didn't get the stink of it.🔥     We did have a fab dinner at lunch time! Blogtober - Post 19! ❓ 🪝 📖 🌵

     Hello! I'd like to start by asking a few questions to those of you who have been using silicon-handled hooks longer than I have.     In the last few days I have notice that the hook I'm using most has developed a weird ickieness to the handle. It's not sticky or rough, just not right. My others don't feel like this. I even washed it the other day and if anything it made it slightly worse.      Could this be a reaction to the hand-cream I use in the evening to lessen the roughness of my fingers? Is there a way of fixing the issue, and is there a best way of storing and caring for this style of hook? Comments and solutions would be most appreciated.😀     I finished reading "The Tears Of The Salamander" Monday night, and tonight I will start reading something else. I'm just not sure what yet, it may end up a point and grab situation. Whatever it is I probably won't have read it before and I'll let you know what I choose.      Yesterday I mentio

Blogtober '23 - Day One. 👋😀

       Blogtober is upon us And I really have to say, I'm not sure I can manage A new post everyday. Typing here and typing there It can be quite a chore, Finding summat interesting And trying not to bore. What with edit this and copy that And insert image here, It's like reading a crochet pattern Whose instructions aren't quite clear.
