Blogtober - Post 17! 🌛 🎶 🫧

    It's been quite a nice day here with very blue skies, white fluffy clouds and a bit of breeze. The moon was in the sky again at lunchtime but a bit higher than at the same time yesterday. It's a shame the clouds were constantly interrupting the view because at one point there was a plane, complete with trail, heading straight for it and we could have pretended it was NASA's latest rocket attempt. Has that happened yet?

    One of the highlights from yesterday was the music🎶 we played while we had Sunday lunch. We always put music on Sunday lunchtimes, it's a bit of a thing here, and this week I thought it would be a good idea to play a greatest hits of Roxette. It was ever so good, and it made me wonder if anyone still makes this sort of 80's / 90's style music anymore? From what I hear on the radio the answer is no but maybe it just doesn't get played. We played about half of the CD and we'll play the rest of it next Sunday.

    At lunchtime today we watched the last episode of "Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea"🫧. I can't remember when we first started watching the first  series (there are 4) but it's been Monday viewing for some time. The best series is the first, even if it is in black & white! Unfortunately the stories just kept getting sillier after that and the monsters dafter. And less frightening!

    Ooh I wonder what’s in that bag. I’m a playlist sort of person. I usually hate what I hear on the radio so I stick to a variety of playlists with my favourites on depending on my mood.

      The problem with the radio is that they play certain songs too much and they very quickly become boring and annoying. And the DJs always talk over the best bits!

    Ooh, that looks exciting! Radio playlists aren't always my thing either but with a teenager in the house, I do my best to keep up with what she's listening to! :) xx

    You would think that with it being a Sunday, I would have had plenty of opportunities to post my intended Blogtober post. But no. I haven't even touched a computer today until now because there always seemed to be something else to do! And I don't suppose any of it was particularly important. Ever have days like that?     So instead of that post I'm going to do a Sunday Waffle. A quick ramble about the day and anything else that pops into the noggin as I type. Minus the swear words. Probably.       It was pretty grim when I got up, it looked like it had rained🌧️ all night, but the sun soon came out☀️ and it was bright till about early afternoon when the clouds started gathering. Somewhere across the road someone had lit a garden fire, smoke blowing up the road so at least this time we didn't get the stink of it.🔥     We did have a fab dinner at lunch time! Blogtober - Post 19! ❓ 🪝 📖 🌵

     Hello! I'd like to start by asking a few questions to those of you who have been using silicon-handled hooks longer than I have.     In the last few days I have notice that the hook I'm using most has developed a weird ickieness to the handle. It's not sticky or rough, just not right. My others don't feel like this. I even washed it the other day and if anything it made it slightly worse.      Could this be a reaction to the hand-cream I use in the evening to lessen the roughness of my fingers? Is there a way of fixing the issue, and is there a best way of storing and caring for this style of hook? Comments and solutions would be most appreciated.😀     I finished reading "The Tears Of The Salamander" Monday night, and tonight I will start reading something else. I'm just not sure what yet, it may end up a point and grab situation. Whatever it is I probably won't have read it before and I'll let you know what I choose.      Yesterday I mentio

Blogtober '23 - Day One. 👋😀

       Blogtober is upon us And I really have to say, I'm not sure I can manage A new post everyday. Typing here and typing there It can be quite a chore, Finding summat interesting And trying not to bore. What with edit this and copy that And insert image here, It's like reading a crochet pattern Whose instructions aren't quite clear.
