Crumbs And Tidbits.

    Now this may come as bit of a shock to some of you, but I have already finished the main part of my second Tunisian Crochet project!🤯🤯 I know, such speed is unheard of in these parts but there you are. There are a couple of finishing touches that I really think it needs, so I shall wait until they are complete before writing up a Ta-dah post. 


 

    I'm not entirely sure when that will be mind you as it will unfortunately involve - sigh😩 - shopping. I don't really like - sigh😩 - shopping. Never have. It probably stems from trailing around after my Mother and Sister when I was a child and being completely bored. Add to that the fact that I'm not a great decision maker and would often come home in a sulk 'coz I could never make my mind up about what I wanted, other than a Sausage Roll of course, and come home with nothing! Plus I don't like crowds, noise, queues...

    So now I have to decide which Tunisian project to start next.🤔 I do have a list of things to choose from and it may come down to which will be the quickest to complete, because in a few weeks I imagine it will be much hotter than it is now, and my hands will be far too wet💦💦 to work anything up. Until I make up my mind I will continue with my Yuletide Blanket project which to be honest, I'd almost given up on, but have decided to persevere with despite my misgivings about it.😔

    Spring continues to bloom and there is more and more colour appearing in the garden.💐🌼💐🌼

     I'll be honest, things are not great here at the mo'.       Quite apart from the fact that these last few hot weeks have turned my hands and fingers into wet and clammy nightmares, we've all had Covid. Yeah, after all this time, we finally get the bloody thing. The daft thing is my parents have been getting their boosters - the last one not long ago - whereas I haven't had one since the end of... 2021?, and if anything I fared better and have gotten over it quicker than they have! That's not to say any of us are exactly "right" at all: Mother still sounds like she has a cold, but doesn't, Father still has an awful bloody cough which is driving us all mad, and we're all still quite tired and head-achey.      And then there's the "other stuff" which I'm loath to go into because there really isn't much chance of any of that changing any time soon, if ever, and you never know who might end up reading all this. Blogtober - Post 19! ❓ 🪝 📖 🌵

     Hello! I'd like to start by asking a few questions to those of you who have been using silicon-handled hooks longer than I have.     In the last few days I have notice that the hook I'm using most has developed a weird ickieness to the handle. It's not sticky or rough, just not right. My others don't feel like this. I even washed it the other day and if anything it made it slightly worse.      Could this be a reaction to the hand-cream I use in the evening to lessen the roughness of my fingers? Is there a way of fixing the issue, and is there a best way of storing and caring for this style of hook? Comments and solutions would be most appreciated.😀     I finished reading "The Tears Of The Salamander" Monday night, and tonight I will start reading something else.        Blogtober is upon us And I really have to say, I'm not sure I can manage A new post everyday. Typing here and typing there It can be quite a chore, Finding summat interesting And trying not to bore. What with edit this and copy that And insert image here, It's like reading a crochet pattern Whose instructions aren't quite clear.
